Spring: Is the season of blooms so, almost every color fits well on spring arrangements. On Spring we are looking for light colors because our focus is on renewal. The easiest way to do it is changing from darks to light ones. If you are doing a spring flower arrangement, choose light colors, such as white, green, orange, yellow, pink and pastel tones. Try to avoid dark flowers as deep red roses, black dahlias and purple calla lily. Flowers that bloom during the spring are: Freesia, Tulip, Sweet pea, Agapanthus (African blue lily), Amaryllis belladonna lily, Cherry blossom, Dahlia, Hyacinth, Lilac, Peony, Rose and Calla lily.

Winter: The coldest season comes with palette of contrasting colors. Light colors remembering the snow, mixed with dark colors of the naked branches. Such as in nature, light grey, beige and lilac, with dark brown, red and purple. Winter is also christmas time, so colors of flower arrangements bring us those colors, such as red, green, pale green, gold and silver. Greens are ideal on winter because fresh flowers are scarce. Flowers that boom on Winter are: Roses, Chrysanthemums, Cyclamen, Ginger lily, Narcissus and Camellia.

Flowers that we can use throughout all year: Anthurium, Aster, Bourvardia, Chrysanthemum, Gerbera, Daisy and Lily.

It is wonderful how the color scheme of flowers could bring us the energy of each season. These are only a basic ideas that will inspire you to add a few of your own.

Love,

V
